Fashion to Figure Trendy Plus Size Fashion for Women

Fashion to Figure

The Fashion to Figure business story is an interesting one. Starting off in 1904 by the founder of Lane Bryant, FTF currently has 19 stores and there’s a good reason why – they’re trendsetters!

Fashion to Figure was founded by Nick and Michael Kaplan, the great-grandsons of Lena H. Bryant, the revolutionary businesswoman and visionary dressmaker who pioneered plus-size fashion more than 110 years ago. Today, the Kaplan brothers have built their business on the foundation of their family’s deep heritage stemming from their great-grandmother’s passion and belief: “never ask women to conform their figures to fashion, but rather bring fashion to the figure.” Today, this statement continues to inspire the Kaplan brothers and drives their mission as they encourage the notion that fashion is a state of mind, not a size range.

FTF consider their diverse and vibrant community of Stylists and Team Members one big family. Together, their goal is to provide an unforgettable shopping experience. The talented stylists are skilled in matching body types with different styles in a way that leaves guests feeling confident and chic. They pride themselves on their passion for fashion and stay up to date on all of the latest trends and styles.

FTF are always running competitions and regularly update an excellent blog over at http://www.fashiontofigure.com/blog/ which is well worth a read if you’re looking for inspiration and ideas on what to buy at Fashion to Figure.

Journelle Luxury Designer Lingerie

Journelle

Journelle is a designer lingerie store based in New York City, and a favorite online lingerie mecca for the modern woman. With inspiration from the archaic French word journellement, which means “daily” we Journelles believe in wearing lovely lingerie every single day. Our stores and website present a tastefully curated selection of lingerie and loungewear, and provide customers with compassionate, expert service. It is our mission to help women feel wonderful from the inside out, starting at the underpinnings.

Founded by Claire Chambers in New York City, Journelle is dedicated to bringing a fresh approach to lingerie through fashion-forward merchandise selection, sophisticated store design and exceptional customer care. The name, taken from the archaic French word “journellement” meaning daily, is a nod to the belief that wearing lovely lingerie is a everyday luxury. Journelle’s mission is to help women feel wonderful from the inside out…starting at the underpinnings.

She asked friends and colleagues, and it turned out that all the women she knew were in a similar rut. In fact, many of them hadn’t bought a bra in years. Claire thought to herself: If successful, working women in New York City can’t find beautiful lingerie they love to wear every day, then something is missing. She scoured the city, and put together a team of like-minded women who shared her love of designer lingerie and her entrepreneurial spirit.

The first Journelle, our flagship, opened in New York City’s Union Square in 2007. Fellow lingerie lovers rejoiced, turning out in droves to shop Journelle’s lovely offerings. The rest, well, is history.

Journelle is run by a tight-knit group of talented, ambitious women and men, united by our passion (or maybe it’s an obsession?) for gorgeous lingerie. It’s simple: We love what we do, as well as who we sit next to. We thrive on our collective dreams for the company, the joy of teamwork, and our (seriously) fun work environment.
